The ECSS (European Complex System Society) has set-up a project called CO-SY-PEDIA, or +COSYPEDIA+, to elaborate a kind of wikipedia focused onto Complex Systems , Complexity Sciences, System Sciences (as well as Lifeplexity). It should be a repository of complex systems explicit knowledge. From now, it is just a beta version, but it could be an interesting global project for the complex systems society.

Complex Systems Society Registry

The Complex System Society Registry is an Open Source federative platform that has been developped within the FET coordination action (ONCE-CS) within the framework of the Complex Systems Society

ONCE-CS stands for Open Network of Centres of Excellence in Complex Systems. It is funded as part of the FET initiative of the IST (Information Society Technology) programme of the European Commission under priority Framework 6 and continues the work of the Exystence network. The resources created by Exystence are archived here. ONCE-CS also works closely with other European projects, including the GIACS coordination action funded under NEST.

The ECS Society (European Complex Systems Society) is organizing an Event Day "Toward a Complex Systems Science" in Paris on the 21-23 March. Subscriptions are registered here before 20 feb 2007 and program is available onto the French Excellence Network Site.

Reprennant la note d'Internet Actu, signalons que le New Scientist a demandé pour ses 50 ans à 70 des “plus brillants scientifiques” du monde de prévoir l’avenir des sciences et des techniques dans 50 ans. Une prospective realisee par des experts qui se veut fiable, malgre l'horizon assez lointain que l'on vise. Elle est debatue plus populairement dans le forum prevu a cet effet. Principale conclusion est le developpement de l'informatique et du Web qui va sans doute jouer un role accelerateur sans precedant dans le developpement des Sciences et des Techniques. Qu'en pense donc Peter Norvig ?

Une initiative interessante de Hans Rosling, intitulee GapMinder (un service de partage et de comparaison de statistiques) est peut etre une innovation precursive du web3.0. Récompensée d'une standing ovation au dernier evenement Le Web3 a Paris, et nominee aux World Technology Awards elle est le fruit d’un travail de 3 ans avec la division Statistiques de l’ONU

Democratiser la connaissance du Monde … pour plus de civilite ? Google en a fait un outil : "Google GapMinder"
